Advent Windows begin
Once again more than 24 households have decided to participate by decorating and lighting up one of their house windows for Medbourne's "Living Advent Calendar".
See the list of participating houses. On some days, a couple of houses light up, this is because so many people have wanted to get involved and light up this festive season so we will be duplicating on some days.
If anyone else wishes to decorate one of their windows, please do so, this is all about adding some Christmassy cheer during the festive season, the houses of Melbourne come to life in a very magical way.
It's a great idea to walk around all the houses over Christmas when you see all the houses lit up.

Santa's Sleigh - CANCELLED
Welland Valley Scouts annual visit of Santa's Sleigh to the village will take place here and in Ashley between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. See poster.
Senior Citizens' Lunch - CANCELLED
To be held at the Sports Club.
This is for Senior Citizens. The cost is £5 per person to include a lunch a sweet and tea or coffee.
Anyone who wants to join the Lunch Club (no joining fee) can contact Mike Rickman (565377) with their details and to book a place.
Participants should arrive at the Sports Club for 11.30 with the lunch at 12.30. There are no tickets but please book a place no later than the previous Friday so the Sports Club knows how many to cater for.
A Village Celebration of Christmas
This year we are facing a very different Christmas and as such our much loved Christmas services have had to adapt too. In place of the Carols and Nine Lessons Service, there will be a ‘A Village Celebration of Christmas’, a soloist will perform together with Christmas music, played by Ivan Linford on the newly refurbished organ. We would love to welcome you all. However, due to the current restrictions we must ask you to book your place as places are limited to ensure that we can manage social distancing in a safe and secure manner.
